I. love. this. blouse! It's suitable for beginners, has a beautiful criss-cross neckline, puff sleeves and a little peplum. Perfect for summer, nice and airy and I just think it's very, very cute. I've worn it a lot and have been freezing because it's not really summer yet, but the hot months are sure to come and then I'll be readyyyy! If you like it, get the pattern and sew it up. Materials

You need a certain amount of basic equipment for all sewing projects. This usually consists of

  • Sewing machine
  • Yarn in the matching color
  • Fabric scissors
  • Thread scissors
  • Tailor's chalk
  • Printer to print out the pattern, ruler to check the measurements and a pair of scissors.

Fabric choice

In general, you are quite free in the choice of fabric. That's the beauty of sewing your own garment. But since fabrics differ in strength, elasticity, stiffness, and many other properties, here are a few fabrics with which the garment works particularly well:

  • Cotton
  • Viscose

Hi Suus, yes you are right, the rectangle is not in the pdf pattern because i thought it is easy to directly cut it on the fabric. The measurements depend on the size, i have a table included in the youtube video. (But you are totally right, it is missing in the instructions, i'll try to add it soon! :)) All the best Julia

What is the seam allowance for the pattern? Also, in the YouTube video, you mention that there is a dress version of the top - where can I find the pattern for that variation?

Hi! The pdf’s for sizes 42-46 don’t have the pattern piece for the peplum.

I just found your site and I am so excited to start trying your patterns. They’re exactly what I’m looking for especially the black dress. I live in Arizona USA, which is very very hot. Unfortunately I had back surgery and have not been able to sew two more weeks and I’m back in my sewing room with something to look forward to thank you.
